DosVelas Pictures
Dosvelas Pictures was created in 2006 by Jessica W. Leung (Los Angeles, USA) and Paco Beltrán (Barcelona, Spain) to produce low budget movies in direct collaboration with members of diverse ethnic and cultural groups located in different parts of the world.
We work with non-actors and our proposal is the creation of pieces that go beyond the conventional.
Each new project is not limited and the result can range from an investigative documentary to other genres. We always focus on the human side of the stories and our commitment with each community.
The characters with whom we work come from ethnic and cultural minorities that are living some type of conflict that affects them collectively.
Our work intends to offer the spectator a contemporary look from the perspective of these people who often live on the outskirts of mainstream society.
The DosVelas project is planned in a modular form. Each new production can be exhibited as a piece completely independent of the rest.
Through our movies, we would like to create a bridge of understanding with these parallel realities and instigate a necessary reflection on the importance and the future of these minorities in the world today.
